Vinyl Fence Installation & Replacement

With most standard PVC fence posts, they will break during installation and should not be driven into the ground. Most manufacturers recommend installing your vinyl fence with a wooden or metal insert post to add stability. Without proper drainage, a wooden insert can start rotting the post. To avoid this, add compacted stone to the base to allow for proper drainage. Dig out 30 inches then fill. Post holes should be deep enough to hold 1/3 the length of your post, plus 6 more inches for a gravel base. If you are installing a fence in a windy area, use aluminum inserts as they will hold up best in these conditions. They are also more resistant to water. Used galvanized steel inserts for gate applications.

Vinyl Fence Repair SERVICES

If your vinyl fence gets impact damage from falling tree limbs or other debris, you may only need to replace the affected section. If the damage is too large or difficult to repair, however, it might be easier to replace your entire fence panel instead of trying to repair it. Vinyl fences are flexible which allows one panel to be removed and replaced with another at any time.

Vinyl Privacy Fence INSTALLATION COMPANY

If you want complete privacy from your vinyl fencing, privacy vinyl fencing is what you should choose. This type of fencing has only a slight gap between two pickets, completely blocking the view from the outside. Vinyl fences are an excellent way to create privacy for your family, effectively blocking out sights and sounds of your neighbors.

Vinyl Semi Privacy Fence INSTALLATION

Semi Private Vinyl Fencing does exactly what the name suggests. They do not completely block the view from the outside, but provide a reasonable share of privacy. These types of fencing come in a range of heights and spacings between the pickets to choose from. Semi Private vinyl fences are different from other styles as they allow you to see through them, creating a level area where plants can be growing or shrubbery year-round.

Vinyl Pool FencE INSTALLATION

Vinyl fences are ideal for swimming pool areas, as they do not get worn out from the damp and humid conditions and are resistant to rust and corrosion. These fences do not warp, crack, fade or splinter like other materials such as wood which is highly susceptible to changes in the weather. The gap between the pickets becomes a safety feature for pool enclosures by preventing children from climbing out of them. They do not offer much privacy, but make up for it in offering a good view for safety reasons.

Vinyl Split Rail Fences

Fencing by Excellence's Vinyl Ranch Fencing is ideal for horses, cattle, sheep, goats and other farm animals. You can opt for a two rail fence, a three-rail fence, or even a four-rail fence. Though the most common fences are with three horizontal rails, one must opt for four rails if they have to fence smaller animals such as goats or sheep. We will build your vinyl ranch fence to be durable, withstanding the harsh weather and the wear and tear animals can cause. You can also style your fence with ornamental top caps for added aesthetic value.

Vinyl Post Caps

Decorative vinyl post caps are an excellent way to complete the aesthetic you want for your fencing needs. Whether you are updating your older caps or purchasing post caps with a new project, we have the vinyl post caps you desire. With the wide variety of caps designs available, we will help you find the perfect addition to your vinyl fence. Vinyl post caps are added as a decorative effect once a vinyl fence has been completely installed. Your fence will look exactly as you envisioned it, outfitted with the highest quality post caps.

Vinyl Gates

A vinyl gate can be installed for your walkway or driveway to compliment the style of your fence. Gate installation will be professional and adhere to all city, county, or state ordinances for fencing. Vinyl gates are available in swinging single doors, double sliding doors, or custom made to fit specific areas around stairways or other structures you may need access to. There are plentiful gate designs to choose from and our professionals at Fencing by Excellence can help you find just the right vinyl gate to complete your project.

  • Swing vinyl gates

Swing gates open inwards or outwards in a single or double-door construction. This type of gate is usually the most common and best for residential fencing.

  • Sliding vinyl gates

The benefit of sliding vinyl gates is they do not require a lot of space to open or close. These gates open only in the direction of the track and do not interfere with your driveway or walkway space.

  • Automatic vinyl gate systems

Vinyl automatic gates are designed to open with a push on a button or pull of a string and typically include an automatic door opener, activated by photocell sensors.

  • Cypress wood

Native to the Southern United States, cypress features a coarse textured wood with straight grains. The Cypress trees are rot resistant, making it a great option for a wood fence.  Staining cypress wood should be considered if you want to protect the longevity of your fence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fencing By Excellence FAQ

  • Does vinyl fence scratch easily?

No, vinyl fences are made of hardened plastic and do not scratch easily at all. If your fence does get scratched, you can apply some baking soda with water, or vinegar with detergent to help hide the scratches.

  • Is it safe to power wash a vinyl fence?

Yes, absolutely. When you use water for vinyl fencing, make sure to avoid the gate and railings and turn off any automatic/electric gates (this does not apply if your fence is a non-powered variety).

  • What are the cons of vinyl fencing?

There are many reasons why homeowners choose vinyl fences, but vinyl isn't perfect. The cons include:

Installation Cost: Vinyl fences are considerably more expensive than wood fences or chain link fences.

Vinyl is Plastic: More often than not, a wood fence is the better option for homeowners looking for a natural and authentic look. Vinyl fencing can't handle high levels of heat and direct sunlight as it will begin to warp and lose its color/luster. In addition, unfortunately vinyl fencing cannot be stained to achieve a more antiqued appearance.

Costly to Repair: Unfortunately, vinyl fences are considerably more costly to repair than a standard wood fence. Vinyl fencing, unlike wood or chain link, cannot be repaired using basic tools such as a brad/staple gun and plain nails. Repairs require special equipment. On the flip side, they don't need to be repaired as often.

  • How many years does a vinyl fence last?

Vinyl fencing typically lasts the lifetime of a home. If properly cared for, you can expect vinyl to last about 30 years.
